One I particularly like is the early 1800’s three-story red brick Nathan Parker House which is opposite the east side of the park on Livermore Street. There are some historic homes in the area. The park has a statue of Major General Fitz John Porter, a Portsmouth resident who served the Union Army in the American Civil War.ĭuring my visits to Haven Park, I always like to view the statue and walk to the South Mill Pond.
